Scenario
Honda of Oakland is a dealership located in the heart of the Californian electric vehicle market. For over 40 years, Honda of Oakland has served the Bay Area and made meaningful connections along the way.

Bryson Hicks, General Manager, needed an urgent solution to keep its electric vehicle chargers operational. Honda of Oakland had purchased several Juicebox EV chargers and a Tritium DC charger from Enel X Way before the company announced the shut down of its US division.

Honda of Oakland needed to reopen its chargers as soon as possible to support its vehicle operations and retail customers. Bryson Hicks reached out to Epic Charging and assigned Taalib Jabbar, Fixed Operations Director, to fix the dealership's EV chargers.
Honda of Oakland had installed two Juicebox 40 commercial EV chargers that it purchased from Enel X Way prior to the company's announced shutdown in the USA.

Solution
On December 30th, Honda of Oakland signed up for the Epic Transfer Program and received a response from the engineers at Epic Charging within the same day. The dealership received an offer to transfer its EV chargers without requiring the purchase of expensive new equipment.

Honda of Oakland completed the transfer of its charging stations shortly thereafter and had its equipment up and running again. When asked about his experience with Epic Charging, Taalib responded "What I liked about working with Epic is their response time".

Results
Within 4 days, Honda of Oakland resolved a major headache for the dealership and avoided having to spend over $70,000 to buy new AC and DC charging equipment.

After completing the Epic Transfer Program, Honda of Oakland is now able to operate the same electric vehicle chargers using the Epic Charging software dashboard. The dealership has access to newer software features and is now benefiting from the Epic Customer Experience promise.
